We are looking for a responsible assistant manager for our Multi-housing properties in Joplin, MO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing maintenance personnel, handling resident retention and renewals, leasing, and much more. You must be dedicated, hard-working, and a self-starter and a motivated individual.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Monitor the oversight of the physical condition of the property; Supervise daily maintenance and preventative maintenance. Conduct daily and weekly inspections of entire property for cleanliness, maintenance and safety to ensure all three meet Company standards. Oversees maintenance and leasing functions to ensure Company standards are met.
  • Ensure timely collection of rents while exercising legal collection effort.
  • Prepare monthly operating reporting, and explanation of variances by assigned deadlines.
  • Eliminate lost revenue due to vacancies by effecting fast turnover in accordance with Make-Ready policy
  • Ensure market-ready condition of vacant units in accordance with Make – Ready policy
  • Ensure up-to-date resident and unit maintenance records in accordance with company policy.
  • Enforce evictions for non-payment of rent.
  • Manage resident relations; ensures resident issues are responded to quickly and appropriately.
  • Process property expenditures, payments, receipts, and monitors expenses.
  • Responsible for advertising and marketing activities. Promotes curb appeal.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Publisher and Outlook.
  • Prior experience in the multi-family property management or similar field with at least 2 years’ leasing preferred, but not required.
  • Compelling communicator with strong negotiating, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain composure against obstacles; solving problems with keen insight.
  • Valid driver’s license
